Dora Khuzaie is primarily a self-taught artist. Born in Sinaloa Mexico Dora took to art as soon as she was able to hold a crayon and any form of acceptable surface. Early work was often a stick and ground to reflect her expression. Throughout her childhood, Dora developed an appreciation for her majestic surroundings. She would often sit in tress for hours with pastels and pad, or sit in a meadow with watercolor and canvas; visiting the zoos and beaches was her favorite artistic subject. At the young age of 10 years Dora enrolled on a college level correspondence with teachings from sketching, through oil painting.
Dora is now a professional artist and gallery owner in the East Village Arts District in Long Beach, California. She lives with her four children, and four cats; two of which are often seen at the gallery work shop.
